G’veret Anat “Nati” Perets

What do you teach? 

Hebrew for Grade 4 and Grade 5

Why do you teach? 

I love to teach Hebrew and the love to Israel. I love to see how kids grow and share their thoughts.

What do you love about MILTON? 

I love the welcoming and working together as a team. I love that I can feel comfortable reaching everyone and that everyone is willing to help and support one another. I feel so supported by the big MILTON family in this challenging time. It’s heartwarming.

Your teaching style in three words? 

Engaging, Fun, Active

If you were an animal which animal would you be? Why? 

A Butterfly. Butterflies are colorful, they fly and are free to go wherever they want. They transform from a small egg and become a beautiful creature. Butterflies also symbolize freedom.

Your Hobbies – Pastimes?

Reading, Arts and crafts, relaxing, T.V. Shows.

Tell us about your family (either near or far.)

My oldest daughter graduated from UMD last summer. I also have twins, a boy and a girl who started high school this year.

My parents and siblings live in Israel, and we love to spend time with them there in the Summer.

Do you have pets?

I have a dog named Chloe, a black and white Pomeranian from California.

Do you have a favorite obscure Jewish blessing or reading? 

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יהוה אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶך הָעולָם זוכֵר הַבְּרִית וְנֶאֱמָן בִּבְרִיתו וְקַיָּם בְּמַאֲמָרו.

Baruch ata Ado-nai Elo-heinu melech ha’olam zocher ha’brit v’ne’eman bivrito v’kayam b’ma’amaro.

Blessed are You, Lord our G‑d, King of the universe, who remembers the covenant, and is faithful to His covenant, and keeps His promise.

This is the blessing for seeing a rainbow.

What is a dream trip you have yet to take? 

I would love to take a caravan trip and travel from country to country.
