What is your role at MILTON?

First Grade General Studies Teacher
Playground Moadon Leader

Why do you teach?

I love interacting with others and seeing how students grow during the year. It inspires me to see students grow in confidence and skills. I’m so pleased to be able to make a positive impact on my students, and then witness them repeating those positive patterns with each other.

What do you love about MILTON?

I love that MILTON is a tight knit community where everyone supports each other.

Your working style in three words?

Kind, Collaborative, Meaningful

If you were an animal which animal would you be? Why?

A wolf! My dad has called me “wolfy” since I was a baby. I like being part of a pack and working collaboratively with others.

What are your Hobbies or Pastimes?

I love crafts! Watercolor, knitting, crochet, embroidery and anything that involves being creative.

Favorite Food – I love potatoes in all their shapes and forms. There’s nothing like varenikes on a cold winter day.
Favorite BookLittle Women by Louisa May Alcott
Favorite Movie – Anastasia
Favorite Place to Travel – I love anywhere that’s warm, beachy, and full of nature!

Tell us about your family (either near or far.)

My family includes my husband Austin and my two cats. My parents and siblings live in Santiago, Chile. I’m the oldest of three, my sister Mijal is 24 and my brother is 14 (he’s our baby!).

Do you have pets?

I have two cats: Maya and Kiru. Maya is a three-year-old tabby. She has no teeth and loves eating plants. Kiru is a big boy, at 20 lbs. He’s very cuddly and loves screaming at birds and squirrels.

Do you have a favorite obscure Jewish blessing or reading?

I love Shehecheyanu. I love showing gratitude and being present in the moment.

What is a dream trip you have yet to take?

I want to visit Southeast Asia someday and the Giraffe Lodge in Kenya.

What is your Favorite moment at MILTON?

I loved attending the weekend playdate for my class. It was beautiful seeing the students play together outside the school and the beautiful friendships they have formed so far.
